Terms of Service

The rules for using Customelo to create and run a shop during the free beta.

Last updated: October 1, 2026

About the service

Customelo is currently a free beta. It is operated personally by its founder and is not yet a registered company. Features may change during the beta, and the service is currently provided without paid plans.

Your account

You must provide accurate information, confirm your email address when required, and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your account credentials confidential.

Your shop is your business

You are the seller to your customers. You are responsible for your products, prices, descriptions, shop policies, order fulfilment, customer service, refunds, taxes, and compliance with the laws and regulations that apply to your business and your customers.

You are also responsible for handling customer personal data in accordance with applicable privacy and data-protection laws, including information collected through your shop, such as names, contact details, shipping information, order information, and personalization content.

Customelo provides software tools for running your shop; it is not a party to sales or other transactions between you and your customers.

Payments

If you connect a payment provider, payments are processed by that provider under its own terms and through your own account with that provider. Customelo does not hold your customer payment funds.

Acceptable use

You must follow the Customelo Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend or restrict shops or accounts that violate those rules, create significant risk, or misuse the service.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you upload to Customelo, including product information, images, designs, text, and other materials.

You grant Customelo a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, store, process, transmit, display, back up, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service and operate your shop.

This permission does not give Customelo ownership of your content and does not permit Customelo to use your content for unrelated marketing or promotional purposes without your permission.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights, permissions, and licenses for content you upload or use through Customelo, including images, artwork, logos, photographs, fonts, designs, and other third-party materials.

Beta availability

During the beta, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Features may change, be limited, temporarily unavailable, or be discontinued.

We will make reasonable efforts to keep the service running and protect your data, but we cannot promise uninterrupted availability or that the service will always be error-free.

You should keep your own copies of important information and business data.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Customelo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses, including lost profits or lost business opportunities, arising from or related to your use of the beta.

Ending use

You may stop using Customelo at any time and may request deletion of your account.

We may suspend or end access to an account or shop if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, misuse the service, create a significant security or legal risk, or otherwise threaten the operation of the service or other users.

When an account is deleted, information may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, dispute resolution, backups, or other legitimate operational purposes, as described further in the Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these Terms as Customelo develops.

When we make a material change, we will provide notice and, where appropriate, require you to accept the updated version before continuing to use the service.
